Audi confirmed this week they won't make significant power unit improvements for the rest of 2026, saving the big parts for 2027. They are still 1 point ahead of Williams in the constructors' table. Williams brought 2 established drivers and a car designed around the new regulations, and the team's own management has said this season isn't going to plan. You don't get passed by frozen-development competition and blame anything but the car. Williams doesn't overtake Audi before Zandvoort.

Dallas says it wants trade assets for Klay Thompson. Thompson is 36, averaged 11.7 points on career lows across the board last season, and every team in that market already knows it. A contender that wants him in October can wait and have him cheaper in February or free in 2027. Dallas is holding an asset that depreciates every week they keep it, and they are too proud to take the buyout that actually serves everyone. They end up with less.
